The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) will conduct the NDA 1 2026 Exam in April 2026, followed by NDA 2 2026 in September 2026. The official notification for NDA 1 is expected in December 2025.
Eligible candidates (Class 12 appearing or passed) can apply through the UPSC website once the form releases.
The SSB Interview for shortlisted candidates will follow soon after the written results — a five-day evaluation process designed to test Officer-Like Qualities (OLQs).

The NDA written exam includes two objective-type papers:
Mathematics – 300 Marks
General Ability Test (GAT) – 600 Marks
GAT covers English, Physics, Chemistry, History, Geography, and Current Affairs. Each wrong answer carries a penalty, so accuracy is key.
Begin your NDA 2026 preparation at least a year in advance. Students in Class 11–12 should focus on conceptual clarity and daily discipline.
Create a study plan covering all subjects and dedicate time for revision and practice tests.
Mathematics:
Focus on NCERT concepts, especially Algebra, Trigonometry, Geometry, and Calculus.
Solve previous years’ NDA papers and maintain formula notes.
English:
Read daily newspapers to improve comprehension and vocabulary.
Practice grammar, sentence correction, and cloze tests.
GAT (General Knowledge):
Revise NCERT Science and Social Studies (Classes 6–10).
Follow national & international current affairs.
Weekly mock tests simulate exam conditions and help identify weak areas. WDA offers consistent mock test series and detailed feedback through both online and offline classes.
Use short notes, flashcards, and quick formula sheets.
Balance revision between subjects to avoid burnout.
Cracking the NDA written exam is half the job — real evaluation happens during the SSB Interview, a test of your personality, confidence, and leadership potential.
Day 1: Screening (OIR, PPDT)
Day 2: Psychological Tests (TAT, WAT, SRT, SD)
Days 3–4: GTO Tasks (Group Discussions, Command Tasks, Obstacle Tests)
